The typical bear-scaring antics of our fellow Curry residents--clanging of pots and pans and shouting--woke us up early on Friday, so we decided to make our final hike of our stay in Yosemite an early one.
We packed up our bags and then headed for the Mist Trail--aptly named because you are
supposed to encounter a light mist along your way up to Vernal Falls. HOWEVER, since the mountains got a record breaking snow fall this winter, the Mist Trail should now be referred to as the "Torrential Downpour of Bone-Chillingly Cold Water Trail." (Which would be awesome.) Anyway, suffice to say, we got COMPLETELY soaked during our hike.

Look how soaked! (Go Bobcats!) |
So, after our hike, which was really a great deal of fun, we showered and headed out to see
my newest family members--McKinsey Samuelson's grandparents in Sacramento, CA. They were gracious enough to host us for two evenings.
